KURDISH HERITAGE focuses on creating awareness for Kurdistan's rich cultural and historic heritage. "Kurdistan" is a roughly defined Geo-cultural region wherein the Kurdish people form a majority. This region is located in what is known as Mesopotamia, widely considered the "Cradle of Civilization" for this is where people first worshiped Gods, cultivated land, and built cities.
The Kurds have lived in this region since recorded history. The word "Kurd" traces its origin back to the Gutians, a nation that lived 5000 years ago, making Kurds one of the oldest nation still around today. Besides Kurds, other nations, like Assyrians and Armenians, have a long history in these lands as well.
Despite its immense cultural and historic richness and diversity, Kurdistan is relatively unknown to the world. I hope to change that a little bit with my "KURDISH HERITAGE" project.

THIS IS KURDISTAN
I spent the past two years gathering videos capturing all parts of Kurdistan in order to create this film. This was a very time consuming project, for good quality videos shot in Kurdistan are not easy to come by. This carefully put together film consists of fragments selected from over one thousand videos, some short and some very lengthy, shot in at least eight different languages and in four different countries. For these reasons, imperfections should be expected - I am not a professional editor by any means and I was solely responsible for this entire project.
With this film, I hope to introduce Kurdistan, the native homeland of the ancient Kurdish Nation, to the best of my abilities. Kurdistan is 'Ground Zero of History', for it was here where mankind first cultivated land, domesticated animals, built cities, invented the written language, and worshiped Gods. Indeed, it was also here where the Prophet Abraham first saw light, where the Garden of Eden and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon are believed to have been, and where the Ark of Noah landed. These lands have given rise to villains and heroes, kings and queens, prophets and apostates, and poets and musicians since the dawn of history. And the Kurds, first attested as 'Gutians' during the Era of Akkad, have called these lands their home for over 5,000 years.
Kurdistan exists. This is Kurdistan.

I have to write you regarding one statement you made, which I want to correct. It is in minute 24.56 where you say "Kurdish Ayyubid Tombstones of XeLat (Ahlat) - 12 century. Turkey falsely claims them as Seljuk, yet not a single one is Turkish." I know it might be shocking, BUT THE "SELJUK" WERE NOT TURKS. They were Sor(ani) Khord speakers and they called themselves SərCuk - which literally means LITTLE SOR - coming from Sor(ani) Khord in Khordestan Province. That is why it is all written in KURDISH because the SELCUK in Northern Mesopotamia/Anatolia was actually a union of Sor(ani) Khord, KurManc Khord, and Gorani Kurd. Yes, sure, some Persian, and Central Asian immigrants from Altai/Mongolia and some Afro-Semitic Muslims immigrated with them into Anatolia but the majority were Sor(ani) Khord and Gorani Kurd. So, even if the monuments would be from the "Seljuk"/"Seljuk" (SərCək - SoerCoek- SörJök) or however you want to write their names - they were KHORD/KURD people. NOT CENTRAL ASIAN TURKIC PEOPLE. Turks are trying to steal IraniC people's history in Caucasus and Anatolia. They claim "Scythians" and also the "Seljuk" for Turkic history and ancestry - even though we all know, that those people were Khord-Kurd people.

It is actually that Zagrosian Kurd are the ancestors of "Parthian". The ancestors of Zagrosian Kurd are Sor and KurManc/Manc Khord. And "Sumerian".
